Application

This Privacy Statement applies when the data subject

visits the offices, showrooms, websites of the processing manager
makes use of apps and online tools provided by the data controller
or where the data subject is a potential or former customer of the controller.
Where the data subject makes use of other parties' services such as chat, third party websites, forums, social media, newsgroups and/or apps via the data controller's websites, online tools or e-mails, the data controller has no control over them and is therefore not responsible for the information the data subject posts on them and the further processing of that information by those other parties.

The websites or social media channels of the data-processing controller sometimes include links to websites of third parties (external websites, other social media, partner websites, organisers of events we sponsor, etc.) whose terms of use do not fall within the scope of this privacy statement. The data subject is asked to carefully read their personal data protection policy.

Processing purposes

The data controller collects and processes the personal data of the data subject for a.o.

customer administration;
follow-up of orders/deliveries;
invoicing;
monitoring solvency;
profiling and sending marketing and personalised advertising;
improving the products and services of the processing manager;
requesting feedback on the services of the processing manager;
complying with the legal obligations of the data controller;
studies, tests and statistics, including trend analysis.
Type of data

The data controller processes personal data, among other things. These are data relating to the data subject and which

provided by the person concerned himself/herself;
allocates the controller to the data subject for the use of his/her products and services;
the controller obtains through the use of his products and services by the data subject or;
has received the controller via third parties.
All data collected by the controller may be combined with each other in order to optimise his offers and services.
There are different types of personal data:

User data: this enables the data controller to identify the data subject or contact the data subject. For example: name, address, telephone number, language preference, copy of the front of the identity card, fto's containing the data subject, gender, e-mail address, age, family composition and any other preferences expressed by the data subject through websites, social media, promotions, mobile applications, e-mails, competitions, etc., including his or her financial data and data relating to his or her creditworthiness;
Technical data: they are needed by the data controller in order to ensure the proper functioning of their products and services.

Traffic data: this particular technical data is required by the data controller in order to handle traffic over electronic communications networks, such as an anonymised IP address or MAC address;
Location data: these data enable the data controller to determine the location of the data subject's access to the internet.
Data relating to the data subject's use: the data the controller receives when the data subject uses its products and services. For example: which products the data subject purchases. Among other things, the data controller uses these data to correctly bill the data subject as a customer and to provide the data subject with a better and personalised experience.
The data controller does not process sensitive data such as, for example, data relating to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, sexual preferences and health of the data subject.

Legal basis(s) of the processing

Personal data is processed on the basis of the following articles of the General Data Protection Regulation:

1.a. Consent: The data subject consents to the use of his/her personal data for marketing purposes.
1.b. The processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, or to take measures at the request of the data subject prior to the conclusion of a contract.
1.c. The processing is necessary in order to comply with a legal obligation incumbent on the data controller.
1.f. Necessary for the protection of the legitimate interest to undertake.

Transfer to third parties

If necessary for the purposes intended, the data subject's personal data will be shared with other companies within the European Economic Area directly or indirectly linked to the controller or with any other partner of the controller.

The data controller guarantees that these recipients will take the necessary technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data.

Storage period

Personal data processed for customer management purposes will be retained for the period necessary to comply with legal requirements (e.g. in the field of accounting). Personal data processed for marketing purposes will be kept for a period of 365 days.

Right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of personal data

The data subject has the right at all times to inspect his or her personal data and may correct them (or have them corrected) if they are incorrect or incomplete, have them removed, have their processing restricted and object to the processing of his or her personal data on the basis of Article 6.1.f, including profiling on the basis of those provisions.

The data subject always has the right to withdraw the consent given on the basis of article 6.1.a.

Furthermore, the person concerned has the right to obtain a copy (in a structured, common and machine-readable form) of his personal data and to have the personal data forwarded to another company.

Data obtained via the websites, online tools, apps and e-mails of the controller

In addition to the data voluntarily shared by the data subject with the controller when using his or her websites, the controller also uses cookies and other technological means to collect data.

The data subject may visit the websites of the controller without communicating personal data. With his or her consent (to the extent necessary), the data controller may inform the data subject, as a visitor to his or her websites, of a personalised offer of products and services. Some parts or functions are reserved for customers or visitors with an account. The data controller then identifies the anonymised IP address and links it to the customer data of the person concerned.

Data obtained via cookies

In order to optimise the service, the data controller may further supplement the personal data of the data subject with the data derived from the cookies resulting from the use by the data subject of the websites, online tools, apps and e-mails of the data controller.

Cookies can be placed both by the controller and other parties. If the data controller allows third parties to place cookies on its websites, online tools, apps and e-mails, these parties must contractually guarantee a secure connection over which the data are exchanged.

Cookies also include meta files. These include similar technologies such as flash cookies, device fingerprint, html5 local storage and javascripts.

If he or she chooses to do so, he or she may reject cookies on their first visit, or opt out of certain cookies at optout.networkadvertising.org. Furthermore, the data subject can at any time disable or delete all installed cookies from their computer or mobile device via their browser settings (usually under "Help" or "Internet options"). Each type of browser has its own way of managing cookies. The information can be found on the website of the browser being used. The data subject should bear in mind that changing the settings may cause websites, online tools, apps and e-mails from the data controller and other websites to malfunction.
